Are you an online retailer with a website hosted on Shopify? Chances are, you’re likely using precious time transferring important sales and customer data from your Shopify store into a bookkeeping software.
Stop wasting your time! Luckily for you, there are several different Shopify apps that will do the heavy lifting for you. You’ll get quick access to all the important statistics like inventory, financial, and customer data without spending hours manually inputing every single number.
Connector Apps
Making sure all your important data communicates with each other can be quite a time saver. Automating the transfer of data from one application to another, or even from you to one of your business partners, will free up time you can spend on what you do best.
Save yourselves from the monotony of data entry with these integration apps. With just a few clicks you can easily transfer payment, tax, and customer data.
Get connector apps for:
- Xero ($5/month)
- Quickbooks (free)
- Zapier (free – $125/month contingent on your usage)
- OneSaas ($29-$99/month. This depends on the volume of your business)
OneSaas and Zapier are great resources if you’re having a hard time finding a way to connect your softwares. These also allow for you to automatically update information in your spread sheets.
Simply Cost
This app provides you with a clear picture of your profits based on the cost of goods sold. With this Shopify app, you’re able to generate profit-based reports.
You’re able to go in and customize the cost of your goods based on different variants and time frames within your history so you can accurately visualize your actual profit.
Profiteer
While this one also tracks the COGS of products and variants, it doesn’t integrate directly with your accounting software. You can, however, export the CSV report which will allow you to see the total cost of your inventory and even the profits from a certain time frame.
Profiteer accounts for fluctuations in currencies, too! You’ll be able to see a pretty accurate idea of your profit at any given time even if you don’t sell in the US dollar.
Xporter Data
While Xporter isn’t exactly an accounting tool, it does allow for you to create any kind of report by exporting the store’s data into an Excel file. You aren’t faced with the limitations of Shopify, either. With Xporter, you’ll have access to different fields and data that you wouldn’t have in Shopify’s default settings.
The best part? You can have these reports automatically sent to you or anyone else involved in your store’s business. Need a certain report to be sent out every Tuesday? Xporter’s got you covered.
