For a store that does a majority of its sales online, a product’s page is hugely important. While the very concept of a product page at its core is very simple, creating one that’s effective is a whole different story. So how are you supposed to create the perfect product page? Good question.

Create the perfect product page:

There are three basic components of a great product page. Those are:

  • Your product
  • Your brand
  • Your copywriting

Obviously, your product takes center stage here. But what you are selling may actually inform how you present it. Think about what questions your customers may have before they’re willing to buy.

In the case of your brand, it’s important to note that your branding should be consistent across all platforms. And yes, that includes your product page. If you use certain language or a standard method of punctuation, that needs to carry through even here. There are so many different ways for someone to buy from your website these days that don’t require them to ever land on your homepage. Their only brush with your branding may very well be your product page.

Have you paid attention to your copywriting? This is actually more important than you may think. Your customers need specific information about the products you are trying to sell, but it’s important to present that information in your brand’s unique voice and tone.

Ultimately, it’s up to your product page to provide the information your customers need to help them buy a product that they want. And through that, you also have to convince them that he product is actually going to work out for them.
