What does the Shopify dynamic checkout feature do?
With this new feature, you can place “buy now” buttons directly on your products page. These buttons are supported by one of the three accelerated checkout methods: Amazon Pay, Apple Pay, and PayPal.
These unbranded buttons will take your customers directly to the checkout process, bypassing the cart page altogether.
Dynamic = intuitive
This new feature is truly “dynamic.” Shopify actually uses a variety of factors to figure out exactly which button to display for which customers.
Shopify will display the right button depending on which accelerated checkout method your customer is set up to use. Shopify makes this determination based on a variety of factors such as the user’s device and browser. It will also take into consideration which payment method the user last used.

Potential cons of Dynamic Checkout

It is not possible to upsell to increase your order value while using the dynamic checkout feature. It would be difficult to accommodate a customer who wishes to purchase more than one item at a time.
So, it’s best to run a quick analysis of the type of products you sell. If you sell customizable products or the type of products that a customer would purchase multiples of, then the dynamic checkout feature may not be for you.
